Sachin Pilot

Amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, leaders from various political factions are convening public gatherings and spearheading rallies to sway the electorate.

On Monday, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Congress leader Sachin Pilot held a roadshow in the Palakkad district of Kerala.

On the topic of Congress leaders' absence from the Ram temple consecration, Pilot defended the right to personal religious practice while cautioning against politicizing religion for gain.

Sachin Pilot also said the BJP government needs to explain what it has accomplished for the people over the last ten years.

In a significant shake-up, President Mallikarjun Kharge named Sachin Pilot as the Chhattisgarh Congress's general secretary.

A video shared by the news agency captured the leaders playfully deferring to each other to take the lead, signaling a concerted effort to present a cohesive front.

Despite efforts to present a united front, underlying tensions within the Congress are evident.

Among the key nominations, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is set to contest from the Sardarpura constituency, while his former deputy, Sachin Pilot, will be the party's candidate in Tonk.

Pilot recalled a meeting with Congress chief Kharge, where he was adviced to focus on the future rather than dwelling on the past.

In spite of being warned by the party, Sachin Pilot in April carried out a one-day fast in protest of Gehlot's alleged passivity on corruption under the Raje administration.
