China earthquake: Death toll reaches 131, cold temperatures hinder rescue operation
Rescue efforts were hampered by the high-altitude region in northwest China, as the temperature as low as -16C were reported in the country.

Eyewitnesses from the area said that the earthquake damaged houses, roads, and other infrastructure. Water was disrupted and power was cut in several villages.
