Last week, Macron congratulated Modi as the BJP-led NDA secured a third consecutive term following the Lok Sabha elections, referring to him as a "dear friend."

Modi outlined his plans for a third term in his first statement following the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday night.

Notably, the BJP achieved a significant victory in Kerala, securing its inaugural Lok Sabha seat in the southern state.
