Patiala House Court

On Friday, Engineer Rashid briefly left Delhi's Tihar Jail after the Patiala House court granted him a two-hour parole for his parliamentary oath-taking ceremony.

But if the court permits Engineer Rashid to take oath as MP, the lawyer argued that he should be subject to certain limitations.

The court said that there is no need to interrogate the accused further by taking him into custody. Mentioning that nothing else should be seized from the accused as his phone has already been seized.

Vacation judge Chhavi Kapoor, upon hearing the submissions of the ED's counsel, ordered the accused to judicial custody.

After the incident, the security of Parliament has been further tightened. Only MPs are being given entry at Makar Dwar.

The court allowed the 22-year-old electrical engineering student of Jamia Millia Islamia University to appear for the examination in Tihar jail
