Operation Sindhu

India evacuated 4,415 nationals from Iran and Israel under Operation Sindhu, the MEA said Friday, following rising West Asia tensions.

India has successfully evacuated more than 2,500 citizens from conflict-hit Iran under Operation Sindhu, with evacuees expressing deep gratitude to the Indian government and embassy officials.

The Indian Embassy in Iran announced on Tuesday that it is winding up the evacuation operations launched during the Iran-Israel conflict.

In a major evacuation effort under Operation Sindhu, IAF brought home 268 Indian nationals from Israel through Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt.

Under Operation Sindhu, the Indian government successfully brought home 380 Indian nationals, 219 from Iran and 161 from Israel, on Tuesday.
