Opposition Stages Walkout As Lok Sabha Clears Ethics Panel’s Report

TMC MP Mahua Moitra Expelled From Lok Sabha In ‘Cash For Query’ Matter

This morning, Speaker Birla made the announcement in the House, acknowledging the duo's transition to state-level responsibilities.

Home Minister also said that the root cause of terrorism in the region was nothing but Article 370, which was abrogated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in 2019.

The letter expresses doubts regarding the openness and examination of the Ethics Committee's actions concerning TMC MP Mahua Moitra's cash-for-query controversy.

Mahua Moitra acknowledged sharing her login details with her longtime friend and businessman Darshan Hiranandani. She did, however, vehemently refute any financial motivation and assert that the queries made with her account were solely her own.

Moitra is set to appear before the ethics committee, and the committee is expected to provide a report to the Lok Sabha Speaker as soon as possible.

After being called to depose on October 31, Moitra requested an extension until November 5. However, the panel denied her request and informed her that there would be no further extensions after November 2.

The hateful, profane statements were removed from the parliamentary records by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

The 5-day special session of Parliament has left the opposition dumbstruck.  They kept wondering what Modi wanted to do..
