Recent death of Namibian cheetah Pavan at Kuno National Park (KNP), the Forest Department has initiated an investigation into the circumstances.

S.P. Yadav, the project's leader, stated that Kuno National Park has the capacity to accommodate 20 cheetahs.

Following the recent deaths of several cheetahs, the Madhya Pradesh forest department is on high alert and carefully monitoring the health of the cat.

Eight cheetahs have perished overall this year, including three cubs and five adult animals who perished in Kuno National Park.

These cheetahs - seven males and five females - comprise the second set of big cats coming to the KNP.

Indian soil welcomes the cats from Namibia and South Africa. Eight  cheetahs have arrived whereas a total number of 25 tigers would be joining next.
