Kamal Nath

Kamal Nath's Outrage Follows Defection of Key Associates, Including MLA Kamlesh Shah and Chhindwara Mayor Vikram Ahake, to BJP

Meanwhile, veteran Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has responded sharply to reports of Nath's impending departure. He thinks Nath won't quit the Congress.

The recent flurry of speculation was ignited by Nakul Nath's unilateral announcement of his intention to contest the Chhindwara Lok Sabha elections, a move that occurred without the party's formal endorsement.

The party had won just 66 seats in the 230-member Assembly in the recent elections.

Nath met with senior leaders in Delhi on Tuesday, including Mallikarjun Kharge, the chief of the Congress party.

While refraining from directly alleging electoral malpractices, Nath announced plans to discuss the party's performance with both winning and losing candidates.

After the humiliating loss, Kamal Nath met with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, which infuriated the Congress leadership.

Kamal Nath, however, remains optimistic, dismissing early trends and expressing confidence in the voters.

On Saturday, Nath said as he addressed a rally in the Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh.

Elections in Madhya Pradesh are scheduled for November 7 and the vote will be counted on December 3.
