India-Pakistan Tensions

PM Modi reaffirmed India’s uncompromising position on terrorism, vowing country will take decisive and pre-emptive action against threat.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh convened a high-level security meeting on Tuesday to assess the situation along the western border.

Following 'Operation Keller', the Security forces killed three Lashkar terrorists in a fierce encounter in the Keller area of Shopian.

“The world is witnessing the rise of Indian defence systems in modern warfare,” PM Modi said in his national address.

PM Modi will address the nation at 8 PM, with indications pointing towards 'Operation Sindoor' being the central theme of his speech.

To underscore India’s intent, Air Marshal AK Bharti quoted Ram Charit Manas: “Bhay bin hoye na preet (There is no love without fear).”

India blamed Pakistan for siding with terrorists instead of staying neutral, which triggered a necessary military retaliation.

India has killed 100 terrorists in Pakistan and PoK, including key figures from the Kandahar hijacking and Pulwama attack, officials said.

Operation Sindoor killed 35–40 Pakistani troops between 7–10 May, said DGMO Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai in a special briefing.

Foreign investors have infused over Rs 14,000 crore into Indian equities in May, driven by global cues and solid economic fundamentals.
