Digvijaya Singh

BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma on Saturday accused Congress leader Digvijaya Singh of attempting to position himself as the “new Jinnah” of India.

In response, Congress leader P Chidambaram dismissed BJP's claims as baseless, stating that Katchatheevu was neither acquired nor ceded according to the BJP government's earlier stance.

His declaration came shortly after MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav questioned why Digvijaya was not contesting elections from Bhopal despite serving as the CM for ten years.

Two screenshots, one from Facebook and the other from the Election Commission of India website's results page, were shared by the Congress MP.

While refraining from directly alleging electoral malpractices, Nath announced plans to discuss the party's performance with both winning and losing candidates.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had earlier voiced confidence in the state's ability to form a cabinet, predicting that the BJP would do so with a sizable majority.

The "kanya puja" that MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Sadhna Singh hosted at their Bhopal home on Monday drew more than 300 females.
