The regulator carried out a thorough investigation after receiving a voluntary safety report from an airline employee alleging safety violations of flights operated by Air India

The DGCA issued 1,622 Commercial Pilot Licences (CPLs) in 2023

The DGCA stated in a statement on Wednesday that it had determined that Air India had not complied with the CAR's requirements after reviewing the airline's response to the show-cause notice.

The regulator's team monitored Air India in the areas of internal audit, accident prevention activities, and technical staff availability

The aircraft is held in Mumbai and will be back in operation after necessary maintenance

Go First airline, which has been grounded since early May, has announced a further extension of flight cancellations till July 30.
