Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal faces new ED summons in the excise policy case after being found guilty by a local court of disobeying earlier summonses.

On Saturday, the Congress MLAs convened for a meeting at Ranchi's Raso Hotel before unanimously deciding to travel to Delhi.

Kejriwal invoked the confidence motion and the Delhi Assembly Budget Session to seek exemption from appearing physically in the ED summons case before the court.

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief of the Aam Aadmi Party, is expected to appear before a Delhi court today to provide an explanation for his absence during the five previous summons issued by the ED.

In a statement to the media, JIH Vice President Prof. Salim Engineer said: “The government should address concerns of the 200 farmers unions from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh and safeguard their right to protest peacefully..."

On Day 5 of the New Delhi World Book Fair, international events showcased diverse languages and cultures.

The bench said there is no order in law which compels the criminal court to issue a notice to the complainant/victim at the pre-trial stage.
