PM Modi Criticizes AAP Government In Delhi

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharply criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi, accusing them of misusing taxpayers’ money to build a “Sheesh Mahal” while neglecting the needs of the poor in the national capital. Addressing a public meeting in Kartar Nagar, Delhi, he highlighted the BJP’s commitment to improving the lives of slum dwellers through the construction of permanent homes.

“The BJP will not rest until the lives of slum dwellers improve,” Modi state. “That is why the BJP government is building permanent houses for thousands of slum dwellers. Many have already received the keys to their homes, and I guarantee that every slum dweller will receive a permanent house.”

PM Modi took aim at AAP’s focus on luxury projects, saying, “Modi doesn’t own a house, but my dream is for every poor person to own a permanent home.” He mocked AAP for building a lavish “Sheesh Mahal” while ignoring the welfare of the city’s poorest citizens. “Those who waste crores of public money on luxury can never truly care about the homes of the poor. That is why they are now visiting slums and spreading falsehoods,” he added, accusing AAP of misleading the public with lies.

AAP’s Deceptive Tactics And Lies

Drawing a comparison to infamous fraudster Charles Sobhraj, PM Modi said AAP’s leaders were skilled at deception. “Their ability to lie is so great that you need to be cautious,” he warned, urging the public not to fall for AAP’s false claims. Modi pointed out that, like in 2014, when Congress spread rumors about the MNREGA program, AAP was now spreading misinformation about the BJP’s welfare schemes. “In 11 years, I have strengthened MNREGA, not stopped it,” Modi said, reassuring Delhi voters that beneficial schemes for them would continue and be strengthened.

PM Modi also criticized AAP’s handling of corruption issues, specifically pointing to a report by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). “Since 1860, CAG has been an independent institution for government accountability. Yet, this is the first time a Chief Minister has ignored the CAG’s findings,” Modi said, referring to Arvind Kejriwal’s dismissal of the CAG report.

He alleged that AAP had hidden the report to avoid exposure of scandals, including the liquor scam, Sheesh Mahal scam, and corruption in education and healthcare. Modi promise that, once the BJP forms the government in Delhi, the CAG report present in the first Assembly session, revealing the truth.

AAP’s Arrogance And Lack Of Accountability

Further criticizing AAP’s governance, PM Modi called out the party for its arrogance. “AAP leaders think they own Delhi. They claim to be the protectors of Delhi’s mothers and sisters, but no leader can serve as a shield for anyone. A leader is only a servant of the people,” he declared.

In contrast, he expressed his privilege in receiving support from the country’s mothers and sisters, who trust that he works for them with sincerity.

PM Modi accused AAP of secretly aligning with Congress, claiming that AAP was preparing to join forces with the Congress party if its candidate lost. “This will only double the problems of Delhi,” Modi warned, urging voters to choose the BJP’s lotus symbol in the upcoming election.

PM Modi further slammed AAP for its poor governance, pointing out that during the past five years, the Delhi Assembly had only functioned for a mere 75 days – the shortest period in history. “While Delhi’s problems grew, only 14 laws were passed, five of which were about increasing the salaries of MLAs. Does this show any concern for the people of Delhi?” he questioned.

National Security Concerns And AAP’s Controversial Stance

PM Modi reminded voters of AAP’s controversial stance on national security, citing the party’s questioning of the Army’s surgical strike. “On January 26, we saw the strength of our armed forces, but AAP questioned the bravery of our soldiers,” he said, referring to the party’s demand for proof of the strike.

He urged Delhiites to punish those who betrayed “Maa Bharati” in the upcoming election on February 5.

Concluding his speech, PM Modi share his vision for Delhi’s future, stating that the city recognize not only as India’s capital but also as a model city in a develope nation.

He listed the BJP’s goals for Delhi, including making it the world’s top metro network, a NaMo Rail-connected city, and a hub for expressways. “The BJP is committed to making Delhi the number one city,” he concluded, urging voters to support the party in the upcoming elections.
