Bomb hoaxes disrupt Delhi schools, spark panic among parents, exams derailed, police intensify probe.

Multiple schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Thursday, leading to swift evacuations and large-scale searches, officials confirmed.

Delhi schools received bomb threat emails early Wednesday; police and fire services conducted searches while cybercrime units investigated the source.

A 12th-grade student has been arrested for sending bomb threats to several schools in Delhi via email, police said.

The IP address of the received emails has been traced to Budapest. Delhi police will soon contact its counterparts in Budapest and proceed with further investigation, a police official said.

Naresh Kumar, a senior scientist at IMD, stated that the current heatwave is expected to continue for the next week.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs officially declared that the email in question is deemed a hoax.

Due to the increasing levels of air pollution, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal declared on Thursday that all public and private elementary schools in the capital city would be closed for the next two days, on Thursday and Friday.
