Delhi Government

The bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora will hear the next hearing in this case on October 8.

The court accepted the undertaking from the government counsel and urged authorities to maximize infrastructure utilization by repurposing vacated buildings for new schools.

The court acknowledged Rule 1200 of the Delhi Prison Rules, which delineates the objectives of releasing a prisoner on parole and furlough, as a meticulously crafted provision by the drafting committee.

The court has also asked the Delhi government and Delhi Police how many mock drills were conducted in schools to ensure that children come out without any panic.

Justice Hari Shankar noted that although the government had challenged the court's decision before the Division Bench, it hadn't been overturned or suspended.

During the hearing of the case, the court had expressed its displeasure and said that the present government of Delhi is only interested in the use of power.

The Delhi High Court on Friday said that the Delhi Government is only interested in remaining in power. Arvind Kejriwal has given priority to personal interest over national interest by not resigning.

Additionally, during the Lok Sabha polls, dry days will be observed.

The directive comes in response to persistent concerns surrounding the inadequate infrastructure in lower courts, which has impeded the effective dispensation of justice and hindered the overall efficiency of the judicial system.

The plea calls for the allocation of adequate resources and manpower to ensure the effective management and safeguarding of these vital green spaces.
