David Warner

At a press conference on New Year's Day, Warner declared that one-day internationals will now be included on his retirement list.

One of Australia's and world's most destructive batters in recent times, Warner ended his one-day career as a two-time world champion after finishing the 2023 World Cup in India as his team's leading run scorer.

Warner made this upward movement in record books during the second Test against Pakistan, a Boxing Day affair, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Tuesday.

The Aussie batter revealed that they decided to ball to understand the conditions first and then chase.

I probably owe it to myself and my family—if I can score runs here and continue to play back in Australia, I can definitely say I won't be playing that West Indies series.

"The way we started and then lost six for 30, you are not going to win many games," Warner said at the post-match presentation
