Supreme Court has advised the petitioner to seek relief from the Calcutta High Court, given that the court has the authority to for Special Investigative Team.

The bench advised the petitioner to observe proceedings in Chanda's court and, if possessing independent evidence, seek intervention therein.

The court expressed concerns about the inclusion of consensual acts among adolescents under the POCSO Act and advocated for decriminalizing such acts involving individuals above 16.
