Encouraging students to prioritize the nation, Singh endorsed establishing a Center for Defense Studies at Tezpur University named after Lachit Barphukan.

The agreement will address several long-standing political, economic, and social issues in Assam as well as put an end to the state's decades-long insurgency.

The Chief Minister said Assam has been witnessing unprecedented levels of growth and development on multiple fronts owing to the creation of an environment that keeps all kinds of strife and strikes at bay.
