SC issues a directive restraining the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) from conducting excavations during its scientific survey of Bhojshala.

ASI conducted the third day of its survey today.

Vishnu Shankar Jain, the advocate involved in the case, shared insights into the court's order, emphasizing the importance of the ASI's statutory duty in conducting such surveys.

The bench of Justices SA Dharmadhikari and Dev Narayan Mishra instructed, "Get the survey done. Photos and videos should be made. The report should be given to the court before April 29, during the next hearing."

The Supreme Court registrar was approached by attorneys for the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee, who requested an immediate hearing.

According to Madan Mohan Yadav, the lawyer for the Hindu side, District Judge A K Vishvesh ordered that both the Muslim and Hindu parties submit an affidavit promising to keep the report confidential.

According to sources before the sealed survey report was opened, the ASI asked the court to grant them additional four weeks. 

The next date for hearing ASI's appeal for additional time to complete the survey and submit its report has been set by the court for September 8.
