The Delhi-NCR region was engulfed in thick smog, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) showing alarming pollution levels just days after Diwali.

The Delhi government on October 14 imposed a ban on the production, storage, sale, and use of firecrackers across the city, effective until January 1, 2025.
