According to sources, the governor has expressed his desire to leave his post. There has been an uproar in Maharashtra for several days over a statement by the Governor. Shiv Sena has opened a front against Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari for his remarks on Shivaji Maharaj.
A few days ago, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari mentioned Chhatrapati Shivaji in a program. The governor’s statement was opposed in the same assembly and now Uddhav Thackeray is making a big hue and cry on the issue. Uddhav Thackeray has warned that the governor himself should resign from his post within two days, otherwise the whole of Maharashtra will be shut down. Along with this, Thackeray said that there will be no riots during the bandh, but its effect will go far.
After this statement of Thackeray, Shiv Sena workers took out a bike rally in Latur. Along with this, a memorandum was handed over to Tehsildar in the name of President of India, Draupadi Murmu. In the memo the Shiv Sainiks have demanded immediate removal of the Governor.
Uddhav called the governor a ‘parcel’
Uddhav Thackeray has used the word parcel for the governor. He said that the parcel that comes from Amazon, is good if it goes otherwise it will be sent. While speaking against Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Uddhav Thackeray did not stop here, he said that the Governor has now become old. He should not live in Raj Bhavan, he now should live in old age homes.
The CM hits back at Thackeray
At the same time, CM Eknath Shinde has also retaliated over Uddhav Thackeray’s statement. He said that those who have forgotten the ideals of Balasaheb Thackeray, at least they should not teach us a lesson.
Koshyari gave recognition to BJP in Uttarakhand
Bhagat Singh Koshyari originally hails from Bageshwar in Uttarakhand. Now Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari is one of the few leaders who gave recognition to the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttarakhand. Koshyari has been associated with the RSS for a long time. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, apart from being the National General Secretary of BJP, has also been the first President of Uttarakhand BJP.
