There are only three days remaining now for Ola, Uber and Rapido to wind up their illegal auto services in the state.
The order for discontinuing the services of the three commutation giants in the state has come from Karnataka transport department. The issue from the department has called the auto services of the three ride-hailing platforms as illegal with an order to stop the services by Sunday evening.
Apart from the notice, a report is also to be submitted by the vehicle aggregators.
The strict decision is an outcome of the complains registered with the transport department by several commuters. As per the complaints the Ola and Uber autos were charging a minimum of Rupees hundred even if the distance is below two kilometers.
As such the minimum auto fare is in Bengaluru is fixed at Rs 30 for the first two kilometers along with rupees fifteen for each kilometer next.
