Rishabh Pant Accident: Indian cricket team’s star wicketkeeper and explosive batsman Rishabh Pant was injured in a horrific car accident near Roorkee in Uttarakhand on Friday, after which he has undergone several medical tests. In the bulletin issued regarding Pant’s health, it has been told that the results of MRI of head and spine of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant have been normal. Pant has also undergone plastic surgery to repair facial injuries and cuts. At the same time, due to pain and swelling, the MRI scan of his ankle and knee was postponed till Saturday.

According to a report in ESPN Cricinfo, doctors at Max Hospital in Dehradun have also suspected him of knee ligament injury. At the same time, in the medical bulletin issued by the hospital on Friday evening, it has also been said that Pant’s condition is stable.
Earlier in the day, the BCCI had also released a statement, stating that Rishabh had two cuts on his forehead. He has torn ligaments in his right knee and has also suffered injuries to his right wrist, ankle, toe and his back.

The accident happened in the early hours of Friday, when Pant was going from Delhi to Roorkee by car. His car collided with the divider and after that the car caught fire. The left-handed batsman was initially taken to a local Multispeciality and Trauma Center where he was treated for his injuries before being shifted to Max Hospital in Dehradun.
Pant was not part of the Indian team for the T20 International and home ODI series against Sri Lanka starting on January 3. He was to attend the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for strength and conditioning ahead of the Test series against Australia in February. He recently scored a match-winning 93 in the first innings of the second Test against Bangladesh at Mirpur, which helped India win the series 2–0.

At the same time, PM Modi called Rishabh Pant’s family and inquired about the health of the Indian wicketkeeper who was injured in the car accident. The 25-year-old cricketer was seriously injured in a car accident near Roorkee on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.
