Royal Challengers Bengaluru have announced a full ticket refund for the IPL 2025 match against Kolkata Knight Riders, which was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
“As the game between RCB and KKR on 17th May 2025 was abandoned due to inclement weather, all valid ticket holders are eligible for a full refund,” the franchise said in a statement.
Digital ticket holders will receive the refund within 10 working days to the original account used for booking. If the refund is not received by 31st May, fans can email refund@ticketgenie.in with booking details to escalate the issue.
Physical ticket holders must surrender their original ticket at the official source of purchase to claim their refund. Complimentary tickets are not eligible for refunds, the statement added.
Earlier, RCB had announced ticket refunds for matches scheduled on 13th and 17th May at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Both games were postponed due to the one-week suspension of IPL 2025 amid tensions between India and Pakistan.
Following Saturday’s washout, both RCB and KKR received one point each. RCB now top the points table with 17 points from 12 matches, edging closer to a confirmed playoff spot. KKR, with 12 points from 13 games, are now out of top-four contention.
RCB will host Sunrisers Hyderabad on 23rd May before facing Lucknow Super Giants away on 27th May.
RCB might secure a playoff berth before their next game if Punjab Kings or Delhi Capitals lose on Sunday.
