Relief Measures Announced
The Prime Minister announced an ex gratia amount of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased.
Additionally, he sanctioned ₹50,000 for each injured individual. These relief measures are part of the government’s immediate response to assist families impacted by the tragedy.
Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, rushed to the site of the accident and interacted with local authorities and rescue teams.
He informed the media that he would personally speak with Prime Minister Modi to request additional support for the victims’ families.
Prominent leaders across party lines joined in mourning the tragic incident.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed his grief in a social media post, stating, “Deeply saddened by the loss of innocent lives in the tragic fire at Gulzar House, Hyderabad. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the swift recovery of the injured.”
