Joginder Sharma, Former Cricketer Helps People Stuck In Flood In Haryana, See Pic

Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, India won their first T20 World Cup victory in 2007 with a thrilling finale. Dhoni, a famous wicketkeeper-batsman, trusted Joginder Sharma with the final over despite having the opportunity to select Harbhajan Singh. As luck would have it, Misbah-ul-Haq holed out to S. Sreesanth at short fine leg, and Joginder picked up the crucial wicket. The rest, as they say, is history.

Joginder Sharma is still serving the country

The 40-year-old Joginder declared his retirement earlier this year, yet he is still actively serving the country.

Joginder didn’t play for the Indian team after the summit match, but he did continue to play at the domestic level before calling it quits early in February 2023.

For those who are unaware, North India as a whole, including Delhi, the Delhi NCR, Haryana, and Punjab, is experiencing catastrophic flooding. Rescue efforts are underway, with Army men also being sent to assist those in need during the crisis hours.

With 297 wickets from 77 matches at an average of 21.09 and an economy rate of 2.65, he had a strong first-class record. He also has 115 List-A wickets from 80 games, with an average of 23.22 and a 4.48 economy rate.
