A clinical bowling performance from Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder powered the Gujarat Titans to a crushing 82-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday.
Defending 168, Gujarat bundled out Hyderabad for just 86 in 14.5 overs after tearing through the batting line-up from the very beginning.
The collapse started instantly when Mohammed Siraj dismissed Travis Head for a duck in a wicket-maiden opening over. Rabada then removed Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan to leave SRH struggling at 23/3.
Despite brief resistance from Heinrich Klaasen and Smaran Ravichandran, Rabada’s pace and movement proved too strong. He finished with 3/28 in four overs as Hyderabad slipped to 34/4 inside the powerplay.
Holder ensured there was no comeback. Klaasen miscued a pull shot to Jos Buttler, while Nitish Kumar Reddy and Shivang Kumar also departed quickly.
Holder returned figures of 3/20, while Prasidh Krishna picked up two wickets before Rashid Khan wrapped up the innings.
Earlier, Gujarat recovered from 34/2 after early blows from Pat Cummins and Praful Hinge. Sai Sudharsan anchored the innings with 61 off 44 balls, while Washington Sundar struck a 33-ball 50. Late runs from Holder and Rahul Tewatia lifted GT to 168.
