Operation Sindoor Gains Wide Support
The IPL 2025 final featured Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against Punjab Kings (PBKS). Alongside the cricketing spectacle, Operation Sindoor remained a key focus.
On 7 May, the Ministry of Defence confirmed that the Indian Air Force had struck multiple terror targets in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Bahawalpur, Pakistan.
These were described as ‘measured and non-escalatory’ strikes carried out from Indian territory.
The Indian Army’s official handle later declared, ‘Justice is served. Jai Hind’.
The operation drew widespread praise from the film industry. Celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Preity Zinta, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Rohit Shetty, and Milind Soman expressed their support for Operation Sindoor.
