The Indian junior shooting team continued to demonstrate its impressive talent by winning their 11th gold medal at the ongoing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship. The team of Mukesh Nelavalli, Raajwardan Patil, and Harsimar Singh Rattha clinched victory in the junior men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol (RFP) competition.
This triumph marked Mukesh’s fourth gold in the championship, including one individual gold medal.

India stands firmly at the top of the medal tally with a total of 16 medals, comprising one silver and four bronze. China follows in second place with three gold and one silver medal.
In addition to their team success, Mukesh and Raajwardan both reached the individual final in the RFP. However, Raajwardan finished fourth with 17 hits in the first six series, while Mukesh was eliminated earlier, placing fifth with 10 hits out of the 25 targets.
In the junior men’s 50m rifle prone event, Parikshit Singh Brar emerged as the best Indian finisher, scoring 623.0 over 60 shots. Shivendra Bahadur Singh finished 14th with a score of 618.4, and Vedant Nitin Waghmare placed 24th with a score of 613.2.
