Here’s How Ravinder Jadeja Responded On Kapil Dev’s ‘Arrogance’

The legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev was blunt in his criticism of the Indian team’s performance, particularly at ICC events. Kapil’s criticism of the team went viral after the Indian team lost the second ODI against the West Indies. The captain of the 1983 World Cup-winning India team claimed that the players’ sense of arrogance was brought on by the money associated with the Indian Premier League. Ravindra Jadeja refuted these claims, claiming that the Indian squad is not haughty.

Ravinder Jadeja on Kapil Dev

I’m not sure when he said this. These are not searches I conduct on social media. Everyone has a different viewpoint. “Ex-players are absolutely free to express their opinions, but I don’t believe this team is cocky,” Jadeja told reporters prior to the third and final ODI against the West Indies.

Kapil Dev’s statement on Team India

In an interview, Kapil said: “Sometimes, when too much money comes, arrogance comes. These cricketers feel they know everything.”
The Indian team faced severe criticism for the loss against the West Indies in the second ODI, which saw both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma being rested while some new combinations were tried. With the ODI World Cup only two months away, many felt that there was no room for such experiments now.

No personal agenda: Kapil Dev

Kapil’s comments in the interview turned the heat further on the Indian players. But Jadeja said that the players only want to do well for the team, and there’s no personal agenda.

“Everyone is working hard and enjoying their game of cricket. Nothing has been taken for granted by anyone. They are giving everything they have.

Such remarks are frequently made after an Indian team’s defeat. This is a fantastic collection of boys and a good team. There is no personal agenda; our first goal is to represent India, he said.

In the third and final ODI against the West Indies on Tuesday, India will try to right its wrongs.
