Asian Games Badminton Draw: Bingjiao Might Face Sindhu In The Quarterfinals, and Kunlavut Will Battle Prannoy For The Podium

The emphasis switches to individual events at the 19th Asian Games, which get underway on Monday following the men’s team’s historic victory in badminton. The competitors from India are:
Men’s singles: Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy

Ashmita Chaliha and PV Sindhu in the women’s singles

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty, Dhruv Kapila/MR Arjun, men’s doubles

Gayatri Gopichand/Treesa Jolly and Ashwini Ponnappa/Tanisha Crasto are the women’s doubles teams.

Mixed doubles: Sai Pratheek K and Tanisha Crasto, and Rohan Kapoor and N Sikki Reddy.

The silver medalist from the 2018 PV The seventh-seeded Sindhu will face the youthful Taiwanese player Wen Chi Hsu. Given that He Bingjiao can be under pressure at home, Sindhu would prefer to see Bingjiao compete for a medal among all quarterfinalists. However, Sindhu’s own form is apathetic.

It was not a horrible draw for the podium, but An Se Young might be there in the semifinals. Bronze is conceivable, but a repeat of the final may be too far-fetched.

The second seeds are Satwik and Chirag. They go up against Hong Kong’s Liu-Chow first. The Indonesian Carnando-Marthin could be their next opponent in what would be their most difficult podium challenge. In the semifinals, it will either be Seo-Kang (the world champions) or Aaron-Soh (who has fitness issues). With Olympic champions Wang and Lee and past world champions

Hoki and Kobayashi unseeded and placed in other quarters, a medal is more likely to be won on this side of the draw.

* The fifth-seeded HS Prannoy will begin with Mongolian Batdavaa Munkhbat. Potential world champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn might win the medal in the quarterfinals. This will be difficult for the Indian, who is reportedly recovering from a back problem.

Le Duc Phat is Kidambi Srikanth’s opening performance. Potentially in the second round versus Lee Yun Gyu, the Korean Team event stormer that Sen destroyed. And Kodai Naraoka in prequarters, who came up short in the team event. In quarters, Loh Kean Yew or Ng Tze Yong In the semis, Christie or Shi Yuqi Since it’s Srikanth, any of them could beat him, and he could defeat anyone.
