Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Ayodhya on Tuesday and hold a meeting with Ram temple trust officials and seers on the preparations for the January 22 consecration ceremony. He will also inspect the waterworks at Amani Ganj, the police control room and the tent cities being constructed by the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation, District Magistrate Nitish Kumar said. In the afternoon, he will visit exhibitions organised by the forest and urban development departments at the Circuit House here, the official said. The meeting to discuss the preparations for the January 22 consecration ceremony at the Ram temple will be held in the evening, Kumar said.

Mandal, a West Bengal resident, is accused of misusing foreign funds worth Rs 58 crore obtained in the name of two trusts to carry out anti-national activities. The ATS had intelligence of a syndicate involved in settling illegal immigrants from Bangladesh by procuring fake documents. The ATS registered cases against Abu Saleh under relevant IPC sections and The Foreigners Act, 1946.

As a player and coach, Beckenbauer did more than most to shape German soccer. He captained West Germany to the World Cup title in 1974. Airtel gets penalty notice from DoT for alleged violation of subscriber verification norms
Bharti Airtel on Monday said it has received a notice from the telecom department for an alleged violation of subscriber verification norms, entailing a penalty of Rs 3.57 lakh. In a BSE filing, the telecom operator informed that the notice pertains to Bihar LSA and was received on January 8, 2024. "We submit the details of notice received by the company from the Department of Telecommunications," Airtel said, informing about the "notice imposing a penalty of Rs 3,57,000 for alleged violation of subscriber verification norms". Citing details, the company said it pertained to an alleged violation of terms and conditions with respect to subscriber verification norms under the Licence Agreement, pursuant to a sample customer application form (CAF) audit conducted by the Department of Telecom for September 2023.

Rajasthan: 2 arrested, 360 grams of smack seized in Jhalawar
Two people have been arrested and 360 grams of smack and Rs 6.5 lakh were seized from a luxury car in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, police said on Monday. The arrests were made on Sunday night, they said Jhalawar Superintendent of Police Richa Tomar said the value of the seized drug in the international market is estimated to be Rs 80 lakh. Sheikh Ahmed and Govind Lal Meghwal have been arrested and 360 grams of smack and Rs 6.50 lakh in cash seized. Police are investigating the matter, she said.
