Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin and actor-politician Kamal Haasan on Wednesday wished speedy recovery for West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, who injured her forehead after her car had to make a sudden halt to avoid a collision with another vehicle in that state's Bardhaman. Stalin, the ruling DMK President expressed shock over the incident. "Shocked and concerned over the unfortunate incident involving Hon'ble West Bengal Chief Minister @MamataOfficial Didi. Wishing her strength and a speedy recovery. Our thoughts are with her for a quick return to good health," he said in a post on 'X.'

ED Raids 20 Locations in Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh in Connection with HSVP Fake Refund Scam
ED has conducted search operations on 23.01.2024 at 20 locations in Chandigarh, Panchkula (Haryana), Zirakpur (Mohali, Punjab), Baddi and Solan (Himachal Pradesh) under the PMLA, 2002 in the case of Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP earlier known as HUDA- Haryana Urban Development Authority)fake refund scam. During the search operations, various incriminating documents, documents related to immovable properties worth approx. Rs.11 Crores, cash of Rs.19 lakhs and electronic devices were found and seized.

NCPCR chief Priyank Kanoongo says, "In 2021, an incident of rape-murder of a minor was reported. At that time, Rahul Gandhi had visited them to sensationalise it. He had shot videos with the child's parents and posted them same on his social media accounts. In doing this, he violated the provisions of the POCSO Act and Juvenile Justice Act. We had told Delhi Police to register FIR against him. Today, during the hearing of a plea in this matter, Delhi Police informed the court that they registered an FIR against him in September 2021. We expect that the Delhi Police will arrest the accused soon."
Decomposed body of woman found near railway tracks; murder suspected
The decomposed body of a woman, aged around 35 years, was found near railway tracks in the Antop Hill area of Mumbai, with the police suspecting it to be a case of murder. The body was spotted near the Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar (GTB) railway station around 11.30 am by a person, who immediately alerted the police, an official said. The police found deep cut marks on her abdomen and injury marks on her hand, he said. "Prima facie, the woman may have been killed six days ago," the official said. Her body was sent to a government hospital for post-mortem.

SBI Card raises Rs 525 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures
SBI Card on Wednesday said it has raised up to Rs 525 crore by issuing non-convertible debentures to fund its business growth. It will allot 525 fixed rate, unsecured, rated, taxable, redeemable, subordinate tier II, listed, non-convertible debentures aggregating to Rs 525 crore on a private placement basis, according to a regulatory filing. They will have a face value of Rs 1 crore each and carry a coupon rate of 8.33 per cent, it said.
