WB CM Mamata Banerjee Slams BJP for Brutal Assault on Farmers: Calls for Solidarity Against Government’s Actions

WB CM Mamata Banerjee posts, "How can our country progress when the farmers are attacked with tear gas shells for fighting for their basic rights? I strongly condemn the brutal assault on our farmers by the BJP. The Central Govt.'s failure to support farmers and labourers, coupled with futile PR stunts, exposes the illusion of 'Viksit Bharat.' Instead of suppressing their protest, BJP must focus on humbling their inflated egos, power-hungry ambitions, and inadequate governance that has harmed our nation. Remember, it's these farmers who sustain us all, including the high and mighty. Let's stand in solidarity with our farmers against the government's brutality."

Heavy security has been deployed there since late last night. "The Red Fort complex has been closed to visitors," the official told PTI. Asked when the 17th-century monument will reopen, the senior official said, "It will be the call of security agencies". Security in Delhi has been intensified with multi-layer barricades, concrete blocks, iron nails, and walls of containers at border points to stop a 'Delhi Chalo' march of farmers from entering the national capital on Tuesday after talks between farm leaders and the Centre remained inconclusive.
