Non-bailable Warrant Issued Against Former Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Prada in Uttar Pradesh

The MP/MLA court in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, issued a non-bailable warrant against former Rajya Sabha MP and actor Jaya Prada after she skipped multiple court appearances. This was the seventh warrant issued against Jaya Prada and the court also directed the Superintendent of Rampur Police to arrest her. Jaya Prada has been named in two cases from 2019 where it was alleged that she violated the election code of conduct. She contested the 2019 Lok Sabha polls from Rampur on a BJP ticket.
