Chhattisgarh: Four security personnel hurt in encounter with Naxals

Four security personnel were injured in an encounter with Naxalites along the border of Sukma and Bijapur districts in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, police said. The incident occurred near Tekalgudem village when a joint team of security personnel was out on a search operation, Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P said. One jawan sustained bullet injury while three others suffered minor injuries, he said, adding that the injured jawans were being evacuated out of the forest.

Lucknow University Introduces Master’s in Hindu Studies, Emphasizing Vedic Knowledge and Sanatan Dharma

Lucknow University will now offer master's degree in Hindu studies in which students will be taught Vedas and 'Sanatan dharma' from academic session 2024-25. Sanatan Vedic culture will be taught as a mandatory paper at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Sanskrit. LU also plans to establish an autonomous centre for research on subject and a proposal for same will be sent to the state government soon.

IndiGo Pilots Grounded Amidst Probe for Alleged Unauthorized Takeoff on Delhi-Baku Flight

The pilots of IndiGo's January 29, 2024, Delhi-Baku flight (6E 1803) have been removed from flying duty as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) investigates whether they took off without the required air traffic control (ATC) clearance. The flight departed at around 7:38 pm on January 29.

Suspended MPs Set to Return as Parliamentary Affairs Minister Joshi Confirms Revocation

When asked about the revocation of suspended MPs, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi says, "All (suspensions) will be revoked. I have spoken with the (Lok Sabha) Speaker and (Rajya Sabha) Chairman, I have also requested them on behalf of the government. This is the jurisdiction of the Speaker and the Chairman. So, we have requested both of them to speak with the concerned privileged committees, revoke the suspension and give them the opportunity to come to the House. Both of them agreed. "Yes," he says when asked if the suspended MPs will come to the House from tomorrow.
