Chhattisgarh: Four security personnel hurt in encounter with Naxals
Four security personnel were injured in an encounter with Naxalites along the border of Sukma and Bijapur districts in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, police said. The incident occurred near Tekalgudem village when a joint team of security personnel was out on a search operation, Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P said. One jawan sustained bullet injury while three others suffered minor injuries, he said, adding that the injured jawans were being evacuated out of the forest.
Lucknow University Introduces Master’s in Hindu Studies, Emphasizing Vedic Knowledge and Sanatan Dharma
Lucknow University will now offer master's degree in Hindu studies in which students will be taught Vedas and 'Sanatan dharma' from academic session 2024-25. Sanatan Vedic culture will be taught as a mandatory paper at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Sanskrit. LU also plans to establish an autonomous centre for research on subject and a proposal for same will be sent to the state government soon.
