NIA Raids Uncover PLFI Extortion Network: Arrests, Seizures Across 4 States
National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two accused, and seized an Indian Army uniform, along with arms, ammunition, incriminating devices & documents, cash and jewellery, during raids across four states today in a People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) extortion and levy collection case. The accused and suspects against whom the NIA cracked down today were all cadres and sympathizers of PLFI, a banned terror organization in Jharkhand. They were involved in a conspiracy to carry out violent acts and commit terrorist activities. A total of 23 locations connected with the banned outfit and the accused were searched across Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and New Delhi as part of the NIA action today. These included 19 locations in Jharkhand (Gumla, Ranchi, Khunti, Simdega, Palamu, & West Singhbhum districts), one location each in Bihar (Patna district) and Madhya Pradesh (Siddhi district), and two locations in New Delhi. The two arrested accused were identified as Raman Kumar Sonu alias Sonu Pandit of Bihar and Nivesh Kumar of south-west district of Delhi. Both the accused are named in the FIR registered by NIA in the case, relating to extortion and levy collection by the leaders, cadres and sympathizers of PLFI in various states of India

Indian Government Issues Urgent Security Advisory for Samsung Galaxy Users Amid Cyber Threats
Union government has issued a new advisory for all the Samsung Galaxy mobile phone users, asking them to immediately update their security systems and operating system (OS) to protect themselves from cyber attacks and hacking. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued the high-risk security advisory highlighting several security impacts on millions of Samsung Galaxy phones, with both newer and older models. CERT said in its notification, "Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Samsung products that could allow an attacker to bypass implemented security restrictions, access sensitive information, and execute arbitrary code on the targeted system."

On the government’s reaction to the Parliament security breach, RJD MP Manoj Jha says, “If they cannot say anything about the security breach in the Parliament, how can we expect them to say anything on the Galwan Valley issue. Our democracy has had a history of political declarations being made in the House when a session is in progress. Issues of a party or region can be addressed anywhere, but in cases of national security such as this, it is ideal to address the Parliament.”
ED Attaches Rs. 193.46 Crore Property in PMLA Case Linked to Rs. 250 Crore Fraud with J&K State Co-operative Bank
Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has provisionally attached immovable property in the form of land measuring 257 Kanal and 19 Marlas at Shivpora, Srinagar, which is valued at Rs. 193.46 Crores, in a PMLA case related to the financial fraud committed with J&K State Co-operative Bank (JKSTCB). The fraud involved sanctioning of loan to the tune of Rs. 250 Crores (disbursement amount Rs. 223 Crores), in 2019, to a fake cooperative society named River Jehlum Co-operative House Building Society, Shivpora, Srinagar, (J&K) by the then Chairman of JKSTCB & Others.
