Ram Mandir Inauguration Is a National Pride; Should Be Inaugurated By President Murmu, Says Uddhav Thackeray

Uddhav Thackeray believes that the Ram Mandir inauguration should be carried out by President Draupadi Murmu instead of PM Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. On this day, the life of Lord Ram will be consecrated as well. The opposition has been making various statements about PM Modi’s involvement in the event. Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena, too expressed his opinion about the same.

Uddhav Thackrey On Ram Mandir Consecration

Uddhav Thackeray believes that the Ram Mandir inauguration should be carried out by President Draupadi Murmu, emphasizing that it’s a matter of national pride and the country’s self-respect. Thackeray also intends to invite President Murmu to the Kalaram Temple in Nashik and visit the Kalaram temple in Ayodhya on the same day as the consecration ceremony.

Uddhav Thackeray To Perform Maha Aarti In Kalaram Temple

Earlier, Thackeray announced that on January 22, he, along with his party leaders, would visit the iconic Kalaram temple in Nashik and perform a ‘Maha Aarti’ on the banks of the Godavari River. A conference of office bearers is scheduled for January 23 in Nashik, where Thackeray will address a rally. He drew a parallel with the revival ceremony of the Somnath temple in Gujarat, which was done by the country’s first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.

President Murmu’s Invitation

A delegation from the Ram Mandir Trust, including leaders from Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), RSS, and Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti, met President Murmu and formally invited her to attend the Pran Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya.

Thackeray also mentioned that Shiv Sainiks who participated in the ‘Kar Seva’ in 1992 will be honoured in Nashik as part of the upcoming events.
