Security forces encounter terrorists in Shopian (Photo ANI)
Jammu Kashmir: An encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. Army soldiers have killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in an encounter. According to the information received, out of these three terrorists, 2 terrorists have been identified. One terrorist has been identified as Lateef Lone of Shopian. So on the other hand, the other has been identified as Umer Nazir of Anantnag.
Of these, terrorist Latif Lone was accused of killing a Kashmiri Pandit. He killed Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishna Bhat. And Umer Nazir was involved in the murder of Til Bahadur Thapa of Nepal.
Blockade And Search Operation Intensified In Kashmir
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has informed about the matter by tweeting that there has been an encounter with terrorists in Munjh Marg area of Shopian district. Three terrorists of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba have been killed.

At the same time, according to the news agency ANI, the security forces have intensified the search operation by blockade in the entire area. The encounter took place in Munjh Marg area. Weapons including AK-47 have been recovered from the slain terrorists.

Security Forces Carried Out A Major Operation In Shopian
Last month, on November 11, 2022, a major operation was carried out by the security forces in Kapran village of Shopian. Under this operation, a Pakistani terrorist who took students hostage in a madrassa was killed. That terrorist was identified as Maran Bhai alias Anees, who was associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed organization. At that time, Colonel Amron Mousavi, spokesman of the Army’s 15 Corps, had told that two 11-year-old students had been taken hostage by Jaish terrorists in the madrasa of Kapran village. At that time 31 students and three teachers were present in the madrasa.
The security forces brought this operation to a safe conclusion. During this, the army made sure that during the operation, the madrasa and the mosque near it were not harmed in any way. This operation was carried out by 34 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Police and 178 battalions of CRPF.
