Jammu and Kashmir DGP R R Swain stated on Wednesday that law-enforcement agencies and security forces have full control over the Union Territory's security situation.

One terrorist was killed on Thursday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Following this violent attack, the state government took decisive action, suspending internet services in the Kuki-majority district for five days to prevent further escalation.

Swain further said that only 31 local terrorists – an all-time low - are left in the Union Territory.
