VARANASI: Good news for the devotees of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, according to an agreement between the Postal Department and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, one can receive their Prasad while sitting at home during Mahashivratri. Wondering how? The postal department will speed-post it to you. This new format will be made available all across the country.
According to Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General of Varanasi Zone, an e-money order of only Rs 251 has to be sent from the nearest post office in the name of Senior Superintendent Post Office, Varanasi (East) Division-221001.
As soon as the e-money order is received, your prasad will be immediately dispatched by the postal department to the given address by speed post. It will be sent in a tamper-proof envelope. Besides, your prasad can also be obtained from the counter of the Varanasi City Post Office for just Rs 201.

Your Mahashivratri prasad parcel will contain a picture of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirling, Mahamrityunjaya Yantra, Shri Shiv Chalisa, Rudraksh rosary of 108 grains, Belpatra, coin with image of Bhole Baba offering alms to Mata Annapurna, Bhabhuti, Raksha Sutra, Rudraksha beads, dried fruits, packet of sugar candy.
As per Senior Postal Superintendent Ram Niwas, the adherents will receive the details of their parcel through SMS on their mobile numbers.
Keep in mind that while ordering your Prasad, do not forget to write your complete address, pin code, and mobile number in the e-money order.
