Tarun Tahiliani Unveils Radhika Merchant’s Spectacular Lehenga Saree for Hastakshar Ceremony

Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani celebrated their impending union in Jamnagar, Gujarat, amidst lavish pre-wedding festivities attended by a constellation of luminaries from entertainment, business, and politics. The culminating three-day extravaganza featured Radhika and Anant partaking in the traditional Hastakshar ritual, symbolizing their commitment to each other. Anant, clad in a resplendent sherwani, stood beside his bride-to-be, Radhika, who exuded elegance in a custom-designed Tarun Tahiliani lehenga saree reminiscent of a majestic temple complex.

Tarun Tahiliani, the visionary designer behind Radhika’s ensemble, shared intricate insights into its creation, describing Radhika as a “dream bride” to craft for. Inspired by Radhika’s impeccable taste and the theme of the function, “valley of the gods,” the ensemble boasted meticulously embroidered domes and structures in soft hues of peaches, corals, and sunset tones. The lehenga saree unfolded a tapestry of hand-painted miniature artistry, interwoven with kasheedakari craftsmanship in opulent shades of silver and rose gold, serving as a poetic homage to Indian heritage.

A hand-painted dupatta delicately draped around her shoulders, seamlessly merging tradition with modernity. Completing the regal ensemble was a panelled, scalloped rose gold tissue veil, casting an aura of sophistication and allure around Radhika.

Rhea Kapoor, renowned for her impeccable styling, curated Radhika’s look, while celebrity favorite Dolly Jain expertly draped the ensemble. Radhika accessorized her ensemble with a diamond choker necklace, jhumkis, mang tika, haath phool, and rings, opting for minimal makeup and centre-parted half-up half-down tresses to complement her Hastakshar ceremony look.
