Bollywood actress Saumya Tandon says she never follows fad diets. Instead, she sticks to five consistent habits that keep her fit and healthy.
In a recent Instagram post, she emphasised, “You are what you eat,” and shared her simple, effective wellness tips.
Saumya starts her day with a tablespoon of ghee mixed with a pinch of turmeric and black pepper.
This ritual fights inflammation naturally. Turmeric soothes the body, while black pepper enhances absorption, boosting the anti-inflammatory effect.
She follows this with a large glass of warm water infused with freshly grated ginger.
The drink delivers essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It aids digestion, hydrates the body, and strengthens immunity.
Saumya has completely cut sugar from her diet, including honey and jaggery.
She says avoiding sweeteners stabilises her energy levels, improves insulin sensitivity, and even clears her skin.
She focuses on a protein-rich vegetarian diet. Saumya ensures every meal contains protein, which supports muscle repair, metabolism, and sustained energy.
To further enhance nutrient intake, she snacks on a variety of nuts and seeds throughout the day.
Her choices include soaked almonds, walnuts, pistachios, and a post-workout spoon of pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
She even dedicates a night to Brazil nuts, incorporating variety and balance into her routine.
Saumya also finishes her dinner before 7 p.m. Eating early allows her body sufficient time to digest before sleep.
This habit reduces bloating, aids weight management, and supports overall metabolic health.
Dietitian Garima Goyal praised Saumya’s approach, calling it “a wonderful example of how simple, mindful food habits go a long way.”
She noted that these practices are sustainable, science-backed, and rooted in traditional wisdom.
Saumya Tandon proves that you don’t need extreme diets or complicated regimens to stay healthy.
With a few thoughtful habits, morning ghee-turmeric, ginger water, sugar-free meals, a protein-rich diet, and early dinners, anyone can maintain fitness and wellness.
Her approach demonstrates that consistency, balance, and mindfulness in daily eating habits can make all the difference.
