Mothers embody strength and courage, and no one can defend a child like a mother. She is willing to risk her own life to defend her child, and the emotion is universal. Such strong instincts are found in both humans and animals.
A video of a mother elephant fending off a crocodile to save her calf has appeared on Twitter.
The video, which was shared on Twitter by Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda, depicts an epic battle between the elephant and the crocodile, with the latter attempting to attack the infant tusker.
Susanta Nanda tweeted, “The extent to which elephants can go in protecting their calves is mind-boggling. Here is a small incidence. The Crocodile had to surrender 👌”, through his personal Twitter handle.

The video begins with a newborn elephant swimming in a dirty pool of water while its mother looks on. A massive crocodile appears from beneath the water and attacks the calf. The mother elephant charges at the crocodile, stomping on it and forcing it to submit and flee.
The video has received nearly 51,200 views, 1,314 likes, and several comments since it was shared. Internet users praised the elephant’s bravery, with many referring to a mother as ‘the omnipresent protector’.

“The crocodile just got saved else would have all his inside coming out soon”, the second user commented.
