Ayurveda Suggestions To Consume Dry Fruits The Correct Way

You should consume dry fruits every day for their numerous health advantages. Dry fruits like almonds, walnuts, and cashews, among others, are full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and can prevent nutritional deficits. A small amount of nuts and seeds in the morning can also increase fullness, reduce cravings, and give you energy. Beginning the day with dried fruits that have been soaked overnight is advised by Ayurveda, along with various nuts and seeds. The greatest time to consume them is in the winter. To avoid digestive problems like bloating, cramps, and constipation, one should be sure to take dry fruits in moderation and not in excess.

1. Cashews

Because they are grounding and can assist in balancing the traits of Vata, cashews are beneficial for those with Vata dominance. Cashews, when ingested in excess, can be excessively warming for those with pitta dominance. Due to their oil content and weight, cashews should only be ingested in moderation by those with a kapha-dominant constitution.

2. Almonds

For vata-dominant persons, almonds, especially when soaked and the peel is removed, can be nourishing and incredibly grounding. It is best to consume them soaking if you have a pitta-dominating body. Due to their astringent nature, almonds are preferable to most nuts for kapha-dominant folks, although moderation is still essential.

3. Walnuts

Due to its mild astringency and potential for constipation, walnuts are best consumed in moderation by those with a vata-dominant constitution. Walnuts are warm and nourishing by nature, thus pitta-dominant persons should only eat them in moderation. Kapha-dominant individuals should consume them in moderation because they are also heavy and fatty.

4. Dried figs

Figs are nourishing and pleasant, and they aid in balancing vata’s tendency towards dryness in vata-dominant individuals. Figs can be mildly warming, thus Pitta-dominant persons should consume them in moderation. When consumed in excess, they might aggravate kapha since they are heavy, sweet, and delicious.

5. Dates

Dates have rechan (laxative) characteristics, which help to balance vata and are particularly grounding for persons who have a vata-dominant constitution. Dates can be beneficial for pitta-dominant people when ingested in moderation, but an excessive amount can be harmful. Dates are heavy and sweet, thus Kapha-dominant persons should only eat them seldom.
