Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani reached Bhubaneswar on Saturday, continuing his journey to Puri to witness and participate in the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath.
Marking his family’s spiritual commitment, the industrialist announced the launch of a massive seva initiative during this revered event.
In a heartfelt press statement, the Adani family shared their devotion and dedication towards serving pilgrims during the grand religious celebration.
“On this auspicious occasion, the Adani family is fully dedicated with utmost sincerity and reverence to serve millions of devotees,” the statement read.
As part of their commitment, the family has initiated the ‘Prasad Seva’ programme in Puri Dham, aiming to ensure that every pilgrim receives ‘clean, nutritious, and lovingly served food’.
Describing his experience in Puri, Gautam Adani expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the sacred yatra.
“It is a matter of immense pride to be able to serve at this divine site,” he said.
He added, “I pray that the grace of Lord Shri Jagannath Ji remains upon us all forever. Serving humanity is serving the Divine, and service itself is a form of spiritual practice.”
This year, the Adani Group has scaled up its support during the Rath Yatra, which began on 27 June.
The seva effort includes the distribution of nearly 4 million meals and refreshments, all free of cost.
The Adani Group has set up designated food counters to serve hygienic and wholesome meals to lakhs of pilgrims visiting the temple town, as well as to support personnel and frontline officials, ensuring the smooth conduct of the yatra.
The initiative, reflecting the group’s philosophy of combining corporate strength with social service, underscores their commitment to uplifting communities during moments of spiritual importance.
By ensuring that every devotee is fed with dignity and care, the Adani family seeks to uphold the traditional values of hospitality and humility that define the Rath Yatra’s spiritual ethos.
The Adani Group’s involvement in the Rath Yatra reflects an evolving model of philanthropic partnership with religious events, where private sector participation enhances the scale and quality of public service.
Their continued involvement is inspiring more organisations to collaborate in support of cultural and spiritual causes across the country.
