HM Amit Shah To Launch Development & Education Projects Across Gujarat

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is visiting Gujarat this weekend, where he is inaugurating and laying foundation stones for multiple developmental projects.

On Saturday morning, HM Shah will attend a major public event at Shri Govind Guru University in Vinzol, Godhra. Scheduled for 11:00 AM, the programme will see the launch of several initiatives aimed at strengthening academic infrastructure in the tribal regions of the state.

The university, named after tribal leader Govind Guru, has become a focal point for expanding higher education access in underserved communities.

Boosting cooperative growth in Adroda

Continuing his engagements, the Home Minister will travel to Adroda in Ahmedabad district, where he will inaugurate a newly-constructed cooperative complex at 1:45 PM.

The project, developed by Adroda Mandali Co-operative Limited, falls under the Model Cooperative Village scheme.

The initiative seeks to empower rural populations by improving cooperative networks, promoting economic self-reliance, and enhancing grassroots-level infrastructure.

Rural infrastructure & education in Ahmedabad

Later in the afternoon, HM Shah will visit Sanand in Ahmedabad to launch two major rural development projects. At 2:30 PM, he will inaugurate a newly-built primary school in Juwal village.

This will be followed by the opening of the Fangdi Panchayat Bhawan at 3:00 PM in Fangdi.

Both projects aim to improve access to quality education and local governance facilities in rural Gujarat.

HM Shah will participate in a tree plantation drive at Oxygen Park, developed by Sanand GIDC Colony, at 3:30 PM.

He will then interact with industrialists at 3:45 PM to discuss strategies for transforming Sanand into a green and smart industrial colony.

A day prior, on Friday, Amit Shah visited the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre in Gandhinagar.

He reviewed its operations and offered key inputs to enhance its digital reach and services.

The centre plays a pivotal role in integrating digital tools into the Indian education ecosystem.

HM Shah’s engagements across education, cooperative, and industrial sectors reflect the government’s broader vision of inclusive and sustainable development.

From tribal universities to model villages and smart industrial hubs, the initiatives launched underscore the Centre’s focus on empowering communities while promoting innovation and sustainability in infrastructure.
