
During a judicial event in Prayagraj, Chief Justice BR Gavai commended the working style of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighting his leadership qualities in the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud’s absence.
Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, who also addressed the gathering, described Yogi Adityanath as ‘one of the most powerful and hardworking Chief Ministers in the country’.
Reacting to this statement, Chief Justice Gavai added, “Meghwal ji said that Yogi ji is the most powerful and hardworking Chief Minister of this country. I would like to say that Prayagraj is the land of powerful people.”
Acknowledging Prayagraj’s Historical Significance
In his remarks, Justice Gavai not only endorsed Yogi Adityanath’s administrative capabilities but also celebrated the rich historical and cultural legacy of Prayagraj, formerly known as Allahabad.
He emphasised that the city has played a pivotal role in India’s judicial, political and social evolution.
