Watch Vintage MS Dhoni Hits Back To Back Two Sixes, Doull, Gavaskar Can’t Keep Calm

MS Dhoni and last-over completion is an undertaking mysterious to none. As demonstrated throughout his illustrious career, he takes great pleasure in hitting big shots in the final over of an inning, and the crowd is aware of this and therefore anticipates it. Indeed, even in the outrageous Chennai heat, in the early evening IPL 2023 match at the Chepauk, thousands accumulated for that slightest bit of batting show, and they had their best possible value.

MS Dhoni hits two huge sixes in the last two balls

Even though CSK slowed down in the final overs, Dhoni turned back time and hit two sixes in a row against the Punjab Kings on Sunday to help the team reach 200. Dhoni orchestrated a magnificent T20 feat with the twin strikes that stunned Simon Doull and Sunil Gavaskar and sent the Chepauk crowd into a frenzy.
Similar to the majority of Chennai’s innings this season, the script was standard. Sam Curran bowled Ravindra Jadeja out in the first ball of the final over, and the Chepauk crowd couldn’t stay calm as their hero entered. Before he was able to score a single to put Conway on strike, Dhoni failed to make contact with the slower and shorter player.

Conway was batting 91 and got the opportunity to finish his century this season. He went for the big one on the fourth ball of the over, but Liam Livingstone stopped the effort, even though the third umpire denied the catch after reviewing it. Curran carried out his strategy even though Dhoni was once again on strike for the final ball. Dhoni slammed it over the backward point for a six this time, despite the fact that it was slower, shorter, and outside the off. Despite Chepauk’s wild behavior, the show was not yet over.

Have a look at the sixes

Curran altered his strategy for the last ball. Dhoni swung hard at the full toss delivery to dispatch it high over midwicket for a six as he looked for the fuller one at stumps.
Doull, who was in the commentary box, was shocked by the consecutive sixes, and Gavaskar said, “Pay attention to the crowd behind you. They were aware that the ball would impact the stands as soon as he hit it. Amazing!”
