Youth Chetna distributed umbrellas among thousands of residents across several villages in Buxar district amid the ongoing monsoon season.
Youth Chetna’s national convenor, Rohit Kumar Singh, launched the distribution drive.
The initiative covered Nainijor Bazaar, Gangauli and around half a dozen villages in the Simri block.
The organisation said the initiative aimed to provide support to people during the rainy season.
Speaking during the programme, Rohit Kumar Singh said bringing the most marginalised people into the mainstream remained Youth Chetna’s central objective. He said serving poor, deprived, backward, Dalit, labouring and vulnerable people was his life’s mission. He further stressed that the commitment extended to economically disadvantaged people from every caste and religion.
Rohit Kumar Singh said Youth Chetna seeks to realise Dr BR Ambedkar’s vision of India. He added that the organisation would continue working for the rights of underprivileged communities throughout his life. He further praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, saying India had progressed since 2014.
Singh described PM Modi as a leader committed to the welfare of poor people.
The umbrella distribution programme brought the organisation’s stated focus on community service to the ground.
Thousands of residents across the selected villages received umbrellas as the monsoon continued.
The initiative reinforced Youth Chetna’s emphasis on reaching people who face economic and social disadvantages.
